Lingering

One of my favorite things about being at home with Neva and Frances is being able to linger with them.  How sweet to have no particular place to go, sitting together like we do so many mornings over breakfast.  An extra cup of coffee may be poured and, if I'm really lucky, my knitting basket brought to the table for a few quick stitches while Neva finishes up eating and Frances explores the dining room (mostly just Ninja's food bowl) Then we mosey on over to the couch for some morning snuggles and reading. 

We are here, together, and slowly we greet the day.

Visiting

We were really happy to visit with my brother this past weekend, especially since he has been in Peru for the past month and we missed him over Christmas.  I was explaining to Neva that Ryan is my brother and, after thinking she didn't really understand, she looked at me and said, "Mum Mum (my mom) carried Uncle Ryan around when HE was a little baby?"

Three cheers

Well, it's been a month exactly since the last time I saw you here! I can blame it a little on technical difficulties and a lot on the move to our new home. 

So, in this past month we were:

.: celebrating Christmas in the midst of the chaotic move with a few days of peace up at my parents' house...there was much fireside knitting, sipping of wine, holding of children by people other than me, in a word, heaven.

.: packing, packing, packing...unpacking, unpacking, unpacking.

.: somehow finding time to knit, knit, knit.

.: learning to crawl, learning to clap, learning to wave, drawing tons of spiders.

.: painting the new kitchen, or rather, watching my father paint our new kitchen.

.: making a home for our family.

.: stretching out, settling in, breathing a little deeper knowing that we are HERE.

Hip hip Hooray!



We're back?!

For some reason I'm able to add pictures without buying more space!  Not sure how that's happening, but we'll go with it!

Well, it looks like the blogspot has reared its ugly ugly corporate head and is now making me pay ($2.49/month) to put up more photos.  Sorry folks, but I think the blog is now finished!
