The quiet moments

These feel very few and very far between lately.  But every now and then there comes a moment when we are each content, satisfied, glad to be together.  A moment for us to take a deep breath and be grateful.

He Votado Hoy

Neva and Frances hit the polls with me today...actually after a lot of heated political debate here at home, Neva finally convinced me to write in Bun Bun for president.

Weekending

Here's a little sweater I finished up this weekend for Frances.  I've never been a huge fan of yellow, but for some reason I feel drawn to yellow for Frances.

Frances is so very close to crawling...leans over from sitting but then sort of plops down on her stomach.  At that point she kind of just thrashes her limbs wildly and laughs.  In no time she'll be keeping up with Neva!

Halloween

Today was our first go at Halloween!  Thanks to Popeye, Neva had some lovely Monarch wings, along with a little butterfly skirt we stitched together in about ten minutes this morning.

After dinner we went out for a bit of trick-or-treating.  It was a simple, fun day.

Maybe you've heard that this past Monday we had a hurricane here in Philadelphia.  We took the day inside to do some crafting with the lovely wool I got in Rhinebeck...

We made some felted acorns!

A little acorn garland and some heart acorn necklaces...

Have a great weekend!

Rhinebeck

I'm just now catching my breath after an incredible weekend in Rhinebeck, NY for the annual Sheep and Wool Festival.  Frances joined my sister and I while Neva spent the weekend with Robb.  Nestled there among the Catskills and the Hudson River, we were surrounded by beauty.  The festival was inspiring, breathtaking, interesting, darn near utopic.

It also happened to be the peak foliage weekend, so the colors were stunning!  Thanks Hilary and Frances for a wonderful trip!
